Cable Knit Coffee Sleeve

So I’ve got back into the groove of knitting lately and I’m so glad I did! I made this really cute coffee sleeve! It looks like it may be complicated but I promise you, it most definitely is one of the simplest things I have made.

This would be a great thing to make for yourself (I’ve gotten a few comments already on how cute it is :)) or a great gift to give to someone! Christmas is fast approaching! Plus, who doesn’t love to receive a homemade gift anyway?

Sentimental Frame / Photo Album

I told you guys about the awesome gift I made for my husband that I couldn’t wait to tell you all about! Well know I can because I gave the gift to Evan 🙂 and he loved it! Success!! The key to this DIY gift is that it can be so personalized that no matter the event the gift is going to be given for, it will for sure be hit 🙂

Given that it was our first wedding anniversary, I wanted to make sure it was sentimental and reminiscent of our special day together ❤

What you will need:

– Frame

– Picture

– Picture mat for the frame

– Pen (your colour of choice; I used black to go along with the black frame and black and white picture)

– Lyrics or something sentimental you wish to write on the mat (make sure it is something that you don’t mind other people seeing as well if you plan on putting it up in a common area in your home).

I used a picture from our wedding, specifically us during our first dance ❤ I found a picture mat at Michael’s that came with a black pen for $10 so that made to be! The frame, I also got on sale at Michael’s for $10. The writing on the frame is the lyrics to our first dance, “Making Memories of Us” by Keith Urban. To top it all off, you all can’t see it, but on the other side of the mat is a personal note to Evan from me. I thought this was a good idea (especially if the gift is for a guy and they easily misplace things…or at least my man does haha) so that he will always have the note, always know where it is, and never misplace it 🙂

Evan also surprised me with a sentimental gift the night of our anniversary! He bought an empty photo album and he thought of this idea all by himself without the help of the internet! The first picture he was it to be a picture from our wedding day, the next picture a picture from our honeymoon, the next picture a picture from our 1st wedding anniversary…you get the drift. His train of thought was that in 50 years time, the little photo album will be crammed full of memories of us ❤ What a clever husband I have! I love him so very much ❤ ‘Til death do us part baby!
